An intimate Lake Chelan summer wedding
Jared and Katelynn decided about a year ago that an intimate celebration overlooking beautiful lake chelan was the perfect way to start the rest of their lives together.
It’s always so exciting to start correspondence with a future bride and start planning for the day. In this case I first spoke to Katelynn’s mom who was a huge part of the entire event and I could tell from the first interactions that family support was going to be so helpful for them.
When you’re not in the area it might feel overwhelming to try to get everything together and ready for the day but once I knew that Elaine had Chelan Shindigs on the scene I knew it would be flawless. Kylie and I have worked together for several events now and she is one of the best recommendations I can give couples that are planning for a destination wedding in either Manson or Chelan.
When I first met Katelynn and Jared I instantly knew I loved them. They are so easy to talk to and have so much fun together. It was one of, if not THE coldest engagement sessions I have ever been a part of and yet they didn’t even let it phase them! We laughed and chatted the entire time and it was great!
The day of the wedding Katelynn had planned numerous special touches to tie everything together, from personalized silk robes for her bridesmaids to an adorable collar for their sweet little dog. She chose black and white with green accents making it a perfect compliment to the incredible background of the lake.
Jared and Katelynn decided to do a first touch where they would be near each other and read their personal vows but not actually see each other until the wedding. They chose to include their bridal party in this special event and it was so sweet to see the emotions of the group. We could tell the deep relationships these two have with those closest to them and such a unique memory to add to the day.
During the ceremony that was performed to perfection by Katelynn’s grandfather there were multiple meaningful moments to remember her grandmother who had recently passed away. I could tell she was such an important part of all of their lives and is deeply missed.
After the ceremony the guests were able to enjoy dinner, dancing and desserts while visiting with the newly married couple. The sun finally peeped out at us for the end of the day which was a perfect ending to a remarkable day! I’m so glad Katelynn and Jared chose us to be a part of their day, it was the highlight of our week!
