Getting to meet people from all over the world is one of the most exciting parts of being a photographer. This family hasn’t all been together for the last year and based on this year there was a discussion whether or not this gathering would even happen. However, this was not just any summer it was the 50th anniversary of Chris and Don! Since milestone anniversaries are such an incredible accomplishment, I’m so glad they all chose to get together and document this occasion. Raising three boys is no small feat and getting to share stories with them about what it’s like when they are little was one of the highlights for me.
Before the session Chris shared with me some of their family story and it was wonderful to get to know a little piece of their background before meeting them in person. Their sons are currently living all over the world and have the sweetest families! When you have a lot of little ones all in one place for a session I usually make it a goal to be moving a lot and doing many different things with plenty of down time in-between for the kids so that it will be more enjoyable for them. Since they were staying in a perfect vacation home right on Lake Chelan it was the best combination for a morning session and it was such a beautiful day.
And a huge thank you to Emily Moller Photography for the referral!
