Jaisa and John traveled to Brewster so we could do their engagement session and it was the best! I always love the fact that there is so much diversity in the landscapes that I’m able to use, just a couple miles apart! For this day it decided to rain all day before their session, then started to POUR rain at the very end but they stuck it out with me and looking back at their images makes me so happy!
I’ve known Jaisa since she was in our youth group in Cheney and one thing that I remember the most from her was her positivity. Her smile comes easily and she is so great at seeing the good in any situation rather than focusing on the negative. She is currently working in the medical field and based on the climate of our world that could be a really difficult place to be. However, she spoke about it in such a way that I know it would feel refreshing to be one of her clients or patients because she’s not going to let the negative impact her view of the world or of people.
While we were driving down the dirt road of the orchard I drove over a big branch that I figured would just go under the front end of the car. However, it caught on the front of my car and started digging a gouge into the dirt! I got out and tried to get it out from under the car, but at 9 months pregnant I was not exactly the best at maneuvering that situation. Once they realized what was going on, John jumped out and knew exactly how to get it out. Even though this was the first time meeting John, the fact that he was all dressed up and didn’t think twice about laying in the dirt to help me gave me a pretty good idea of who he is as a person! Together these two are the sweetest couple and getting to hang out with them that day was the highlight of my week! I love that I’ve seen Jaisa go from a high school student to now engaged! And in only a few short months Kyle and I get to be a part of one of the most important days of her life!
