I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t been shooting as much, other than my kids, or if it’s just because everything was perfect for this evening, but this family session was INCREDIBLE! Joyce mentioned wanting something that was more like a canyon type location and there is one spot that I have had my eye on for years but it’s just never been at the top of my mind when I’m thinking about locations. However, when she mentioned that I thought this would be the perfect time to try it out. This area essentially looks like piles of dirt so when we drove out to it I immediately had the thought, “Oh man I hope they really do trust me on this one.” And thankfully they were up for it, even though we saw some massive spiders, and had to keep an eye out for ticks and snakes, but all in all it was exactly what I was hoping for!
Liam is turning one today and that’s such a big birthday that I knew today was the day to have this compilation of their family on the blog. I was able to meet Liam about 24 hours after his birth last year in the hospital and it was just the sweetest little session ever! He’s always been so chill and calm that it’s almost unbelievable, and this day was exactly like that. He was the happiest little guy and although he did try to taste the dirt, that may have been the only part of the day he wasn’t a fan of. I just adore this family and am so glad that they are part of our community.
Billy and Joyce moved here shortly after they got married to help us start a new church in Brewster and have been a huge piece to the community since then. Joyce is a teacher in Brewster and has recently started a blog that you can check out here! Billy is our campus pastor of Real Life Brewster and one of the easiest people in the world to talk to! Getting to see their family grow and change in the last several years has been so sweet and I just love them! And now here is an overload of images from their session because picking favorites was very difficult!!!
