When you have known someone through middle school I think that automatically makes you friends for life, because let’s face it, middle school can be quite a rough season! In 7th grade I started at a new school and Stacie just happened to be in my class. Throughout the next 3 years we would do volleyball, basketball, track, drama, algebra and so much more together. I soon realized that she is one of the most genuine people I would ever meet. We stayed friends throughout the last two decades and added running races, getting married and having kids to our list of things we’ve done at or around the same time. One little story from our middle school experience came about when we were talking about our future families. Stacie wanted her son’s name to be, Winston Avery, for as long as I can remember, and I wanted all girls, having 3 brothers meant that I was pretty much over boys. Fast forward to today… I have two boys and she has two girls so clearly that plan didn’t work out!
For this session we documented the adorable addition of Lissy Joy to their family and since Lissy and I share the same middle name I’m automatically her biggest fan! She was the sweetest, easiest little one to work with and she made a new record of how many different poses I was able to do in a short amount of time. Big sister Lindy and I had a lot of fun and the fact that she is a daddy’s girl is the most adorable exchange to watch! I had such a hard time picking favorites so you get to see a lot of our morning together!
