One year ago today Tim and Jenna got married at one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever been to. But really this story goes back much further. When I was in 3rd grade I first met Jenna and if you know her, you know that she is the most friendly, amazing person, with the sweetest personality and just brings everyone around her into her contagious joy. I remember how even though I had to change schools after that year she still made an effort to hang out and call just to catch up and if that’s what she was like in 3rd grade, she has just continued to be even more of the most giving, kind and inviting person!
Although I didn’t meet Tim until the wedding day I could tell how much he just adores Jenna and how much they fit perfectly together. They may be opposites in some ways, she’s more outgoing and he’s more reserved, for one. But together they compliment each other in the best ways.
The breathtaking day started in the heart of Montana in Kalispell at the Diamond B ranch. If you know anything about Montana you know that the people are incredibly sweet, friendly and genuine (at least that is my experience!). The entire day echoed that feeling with people just loving being together and watching these two enjoy their perfect day. The picturesque mountains in the background, surrounded by rich green grass and pastureland just made this the most relaxing spot to unwind and be present in the day. There are very few weddings I have encountered that had such a peaceful atmosphere. One of the pieces I loved about our experience with Tim and Jenna is that even though your wedding day is literally supposed to be about only the two people, they found a way to honor and bless almost everyone they came into contact with. One of the times this stood out to me was when they set aside time to give special gifts to Tim’s daughters that were meant to serve as a reminder of how this was the day the 4 of them became a family which I thought was such a sweet way to focus on the important part of marriage, that it is about a new family being formed, not just individuals.
Another story that I thought was so special was when Jenna and her mom and I were together in the getting ready process Jenna told me how when her older sister got married her mom did her flowers and Jenna knew she just needed her mom to do them on her wedding day as well even though she was much younger. Staying true to that her mom put together the most lovely bouquets and some of my very favorite colors, I love how bright and unique the flowers are!
At dinner there was special thought put into the menu so that every guest present would be able to eat something. From the homemade desserts to main courses they didn’t overlook anyone’s possible dietary needs and while this may seem like a small thing to some people, with Kyle having a limited diet this stands out to someone like him in the biggest way because they know that they were considered in the planning process.
Tim and Jenna, I hope this is one way you get to look back on your incredible day and remember how much fun you had and how much love was shared!
