During this time where everyone has been home more than they may have ever been I’ve seen so many people share about how they have found new ways to share life with their family. If you have small children like I do, most likely there have been very few breaks so it can feel more like the movie “Groundhog Day” because it’s so similar day after day. But then I get to spend an afternoon with a family like this, who are celebrating their youngest graduating from high school. Seeing how much they enjoy being together, laughing and hanging out reminded me that we will eventually get to the point where everyone won’t be under one roof and this time is a good way to focus on what’s important in our family.
I’ve known the Martinez kids (who aren’t exactly kids now) since they first moved to Brewster several years ago and I was able to do Karina’s senior pictures earlier this year! (Her session is here if you want to see it!) I love getting to document chapters in a family story and am so glad they asked me to be part of this celebration of the end of one part of their story and the beginning of the next chapter!
