So far the highlight of the summer was getting to travel to Louisiana with most of my family and celebrate my brother’s wedding! Although I wasn’t the photographer for the actual wedding I was able to shoot some “getting ready” pictures as well as some candid family shots. We were missing one brother so not quite a complete sibling photo. Josh and Kim’s day was gorgeous, with an amazing venue, relaxed atmosphere and colorful elements that they planned perfectly. We were able to see some family there that we don’t get to be around often and that was so much fun, even though I spent a lot more time chasing my crazy munchkin than actually having a conversation!
My adorable parents…
Cousins! I don’t know how we missed Kim here!
Kamden’s checklist for this trip: First airplane ride, first cross country trip, first bout with thrush (beginning shortly before this picture was taken), first stomach flu soon after this picture was taken, first trip to the urgent care, first experience with cockroaches that he now discusses every time he sees a bug, first time seeing a tiger in person, first time seeing a lizard.
Overall, this trip was a whirlwind and not one I would attempt again without my beloved husband! 🙂
I basically just followed these two around for a week as their own personal travel photographer, crazy to think that this time last year we were getting ready for their day!
My stunning new niece Elliana! She’s the sweetest little girl ever!
Here are a couple pictures from New Orleans, maybe one day I won’t have a 25 pound assistant on my hip for all my travel shots and will be able to get a couple more! I definitely want to come back!!!
